Christmas Projects at GISA – A Look Behind the Scenes

Written on 21 November 2025

This week, GISA’s roving reporter team gained exciting insights into the school’s Christmas projects.

In the French workshop, students are currently working on a theatre play about Mary and Joseph. Curious to learn more, Arcani and Stephie asked what exactly the group is practising: “We’re learning the texts for the Christmas story,” the children explained. What they enjoy most is the variety of languages involved. In addition to writing, they are also preparing an animated film. The roles in the play are clearly assigned: the Angel Gabriel, Joseph, Mary, and the shepherds.

In the baking project, Hannes and Kwadwo interviewed the participants of “the most delicious of all projects.” Today’s plan featured soft lemon cookies with colourful sprinkles. The students confirmed that baking is great fun! The teachers are planning to sell the baked goods at the Christmas market and create their own recipe book at the same time. So far, all cookies and treats have been equally popular.

Other reporter teams also visited the DIY, Christmas Advent, and Woodwork projects. There, they witnessed how students created festive crafts, designed Advent decorations, and worked on small wooden items to be sold at the Christmas market. Across all projects, the joy of working and creating together clearly shines through.

All these activities show how creative and engaged GISA’s students are during the festive season—whether on stage, behind the camera, in the kitchen, or crafting in the workshop.
