Student Council – Students Shape Their School
The opinions of our students are a central part of our school life. In the Student Council (SMV), we aim not only to listen to their views, but above all to take them seriously and turn them into concrete changes together. Our students actively shape their school and take responsibility for their community.
The Student Council is firmly embedded in our school life. Class representatives and delegates from different year groups regularly bring forward their concerns, exchange ideas, and develop initiatives together. Within a structured framework, proposals are discussed, prioritized, and further developed in close cooperation with teachers and the school leadership.
Together, we generate ideas, discuss wishes, and work towards continuously improving our school. One example is the secondary students’ request for a “chill room,” which we took up and implemented together. In addition, further projects are already being planned, all originating from student ideas and initiatives.
An important part of our work is to systematically gather student feedback and integrate it into school development. In this way, an ongoing dialogue is created in which concerns are heard, reflected upon, and further developed.
Our school is a very special place. Regardless of where someone comes from, the color of their skin, or their religion, diversity is lived and valued here. Celebrations from different cultures are shared, and mutual respect is a given. This openness and sense of community make our school unique.
Of course, no school is perfect. However, the close collaboration between students, teachers, and school leadership enables us to work together on a shared vision for our school and to turn it into reality step by step.
