Flexible Early Arrival and Extended Pick-Up Care

At German International School Accra, parents have the option of bringing their children to school early and picking them up later in the afternoon. Children can arrive from 7:00 a.m. and should be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m.

During aftercare, children can enjoy a variety of supervised activities in a safe and relaxed environment. Together with a teacher, they can play games in the aftercare room or choose a quiet moment in the library, where they can read books, do arts and crafts, or simply relax. We aim to provide activities that support the children’s interests and well-being after the school day.

For students in Class 1 to Class 6, there is also the option to participate in extracurricular activities, which require prior registration. The full programme can be found on our website.

For secondary students (Class 5 and Class 6), there is a dedicated study time in a separate location. During this time, they can prepare for tests, complete assignments, or practice lesson content in a focused and supportive setting under supervision.

Students in Class 7 to Class 9 have lessons until 3:45 p.m.
