Native-level proficiency in German is an essential requirement for all teaching positions advertised below.

Primary School Teacher – with the Possibility of Primary Leadership

We are seeking a primary school teacher to join us on 1 August 2027, providing engaging, differentiated and language-sensitive teaching. Depending on qualifications, experience and interest, the position may also include responsibility as Head of Primary.

You hold the German Second State Examination for primary teaching or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and have substantial classroom experience. Experience with multilingual learners, a commitment to individual support and a flexible approach to school life are particularly welcome.

German as a Foreign Language Teacher and Whole-School Coordinator

Starting on 1 August 2027, we are also seeking a German as a Foreign Language (DaF) teacher for Grades 5–10 who will coordinate DaF provision across the school.

Alongside teaching, you will help develop language support across year groups, establish shared approaches to language assessment and teaching, coordinate IVA examinations and support the development of the German Language Diploma (DSD) programme. This role combines classroom teaching with responsibility for curriculum and school development.

We are looking for a recognised teaching qualification, substantial experience teaching German as a foreign or second language at secondary level, and enthusiasm for developing language education together with colleagues. Experience with IVA or DSD examinations would be an advantage.

Special Education Teacher – Strengthening Individual Support

We are seeking a qualified special education teacher, ideally with an additional teaching qualification for primary or lower secondary education.

You will identify individual learning needs, develop appropriate support and help students progress academically, linguistically and personally. Working closely with teachers and parents, you will shape individual learning pathways and strengthen inclusive practice throughout the school.

We value a strengths-based approach, strong collaboration and advisory skills, and flexibility to work across different year groups. A willingness to combine specialist support with classroom teaching is particularly welcome. The precise role will reflect your qualifications and the school’s needs.

Secondary School Teachers – Flexible Subject Combinations Welcome

We welcome applications from qualified secondary school teachers with a range of subject combinations to support our growing secondary section.

You enjoy working with young people, deliver strong subject teaching with attention to language development, and support students as they progress through their education. Our small classes allow for close, individual learning support.

We are open to different subject combinations and seek versatile colleagues who can respond flexibly to the needs of a growing school. Teamwork and an interest in school development are central to these roles.

German Government-Assigned Teacher (ADLK) – Helping Develop Our Upper Secondary Section

A position for a German government-assigned teacher (Auslandsdienstlehrkraft, ADLK) is available from 1 August 2027. As we prepare to establish an upper secondary section offering the Gemischtsprachiges International Baccalaureate (GIB), we are seeking a colleague who would like to help shape this next stage.

Our preferred profile includes GIB experience and qualifications to teach German and/or Mathematics as examination subjects. Equally important are a high degree of flexibility, a collaborative approach and enthusiasm for school development. This is an opportunity to take responsibility and turn shared educational ideas into practice.

German Language Requirement for All Teaching Positions

All applicants for teaching positions must demonstrate native-level proficiency in German. You must be able to teach, advise students and parents, and collaborate with colleagues confidently and precisely in German.

What You Can Expect

We offer small classes, a committed international team and room to contribute your own educational ideas. At a school that is continuing to develop, you can take on responsibility and see the impact of your work directly.

The primary and DaF positions may be filled through local employment (OLK) or, subject to eligibility and availability, the German federal programme teacher scheme (BPLK). These positions offer a salary above the local average, relocation support, assistance with work permit applications and coverage of work permit costs. Employment arrangements for the other teaching profiles will be discussed individually.

Administrative Officer – Taking Responsibility in School Administration

We are also seeking an experienced Administrative Officer with at least seven years of relevant professional experience and a proven ability to work independently.

You take a proactive approach, accept responsibility and find practical solutions to the varied needs of an international school. Marketing experience and German language skills would be an advantage.
