A Celebration of Gratitude – Staff Appreciation Lunch at GISA

Today, the GISA campus was filled not just with delicious food, but with heartfelt appreciation. The Parent Council organized a Staff Appreciation Lunch to honor not only the school’s passionate educators, but every staff member who contributes daily to making GISA a special place – from gardeners, cleaners, and security staff to administration and the entire teaching team.

The parent crepresentative Karo Chivasa expressed what many feel – with touching words like these:

"Having a child means carrying your heart outside your body. Letting go each morning can be hard – but you make it so much easier. Today, we celebrated you to show our appreciation and thanks as parents. Every one of you plays a part in making this school a safe place to learn and grow. You, the team of the German International School Accra, are amazing at teaching – and truly seeing each and every child. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"

This expression of gratitude truly resonated. On behalf of the staff, teacher representatives Ramona Klaes and Nadja Ulrich expressed their heartfelt thanks:

"Dear parents, you have made this Staff Appreciation Day truly an amazing event – with delicious food and your help in nursery, kindergarten and school. Because of your support, the entire team was able to take a break, enjoy a meal together, and feel appreciated. Thank you all for making this event possible."

Parents not only brought homemade treats – they also stepped in to supervise in the kindergarten and school, allowing the whole team to enjoy an extended lunch break together.

A memorable day – and a beautiful expression of the GISA spirit of community.
