Berlin Meets Accra – A Special Reunion at the Global DAS Conference

Our Head of School, Rainer Kropp-Kurta, is currently in Berlin attending the annual conference of the Heads of the 135 German International Schools worldwide. The focus of the meeting is professional exchange, quality development, and the continued strengthening of the global network of German schools abroad.

Right at the beginning of the conference, there was a special moment: a reunion with Berlin-based “Coach” David Detzler. He played a key role in building up our Academy in Accra and laid important foundations that continue to shape our work today.

As a sign of appreciation for his dedicated pioneering efforts – and as a reminder of his impactful time at GISA – he was presented with one of our brand-new Academy coach outfits.
