Cambridge Certificates Presented: A Strong Achievement for Our Students

A special moment for our students: during Monday’s Assembly, the Cambridge certificates for the Checkpoint Assessments taken in May were officially presented.

All candidates successfully passed the assessments. We are especially pleased that GISA’s overall results were above the average of Cambridge schools. The individual results also highlight different strengths and areas for further development and provide valuable guidance for the students’ continued learning.

The Cambridge Checkpoint Assessments are international benchmark tests taken at the end of specific stages of learning. They assess key competencies in subjects including English, Mathematics and Science and allow students’ performance to be placed in an international context. At GISA, they complement the German curriculum and provide additional insight into strengths, areas for development and future learning needs.

A special thank you goes to our Head of Department, Clemencia Mayoga, as well as Bernard Mensah and Ralph Werner for their intensive preparation, support and organisation surrounding the Cambridge Checkpoint Assessments. Their joint commitment played an important role in supporting our students throughout the process.

The students themselves also had their say: on behalf of the candidates, Rudatu thanked the teachers for their intensive guidance and support in the lead-up to the assessments.

The presentation of the certificates was therefore not only a moment of celebration, but also a fitting recognition of the shared effort and commitment of everyone involved.
