πΏ Colour, Creativity, and Gratitude: The ecoacademy for changemakers leaves a lasting legacy at GISA π
What a transformation! Over the past two years, Irina Wehmann and her team from the NGO ecoacademy for changemakers have given the German International School Accra a vibrant new look β imaginative, sustainable, and full of creative vision.
π¨ Dull corridors became colourful jungle paths, staircases turned into deep-sea adventures, and even formerly utilitarian washrooms now shine as whimsical wellness spaces. Old furniture was revived with style, and our Early Childhood Centre now gleams in an entirely new light. The school library also received an impressive makeover β now a welcoming space for discovery, reading, and relaxation. And as the final flourish, the once-grey faΓ§ades of our buildings now glow in radiant colours that reflect the vibrancy of our school community.
π To mark the completion of this extraordinary journey, Irina Wehmann wanted to express her gratitude to those who had supported, accompanied, and encouraged her throughout the process. And since she is not only a visionary artist but also a talented chef, she and her team prepared a multi-course dinner at fine-dining level β a heartfelt thank-you, served with creativity, care, and deep appreciation.
Irina and the ecoacademy have created a true artistic legacy at GISA. Anyone who has seen the before-and-after contrast knows: this wasnβt just painting walls β this was transformation with soul. GISA extends its deepest thanks β for imagination, perseverance, colour, sweat, and a whole lot of heart.
πΈ The photos from the dinner speak for themselves β an evening of flavour, gratitude, and genuine connection.
