Bezaleel Educational Complex

The Bezaleel Educational Complex was founded in Sunyani in 2019 by Pia and Emmanuel Yeboah. The school initially began operating in a rented residential building before later moving into a newly constructed school building. Since its foundation, the school has continued to grow and has gradually expanded its educational provision into Junior High School.

From the outset, the school has aimed to provide children with access to high-quality, affordable, non-violent and child-centred education. In addition to the Ghanaian curriculum, subjects such as German, music, art and sports complement the school’s programme. The Bezaleel Educational Complex places particular emphasis on creating a positive and respectful learning environment.

German is one of the school’s special areas of focus. It is taught from the first year of primary school and is firmly established within the timetable. As a PASCH school, the Bezaleel Educational Complex is part of the worldwide “Schools: Partners for the Future” network and offers its students additional opportunities to develop their German language skills. These include activities offered by the Goethe-Institut as well as the opportunity to take recognised German language examinations.

In October 2025, a delegation from the Bezaleel Educational Complex participated in the Day of the German Language at the German International School Accra. The long journey from Sunyani to Accra reflected the school’s strong commitment to the German language. At the same time, the event provided an opportunity to connect with other schools and educational institutions and to further develop existing networks.

In June 2026, the connection between our two schools was further strengthened when four boxes of well-preserved textbooks, teaching materials, children’s books and storybooks from GISA were sent to Sunyani. The materials now support German lessons and also enrich the school library.

We are very pleased about the growing connection with the Bezaleel Educational Complex and look forward to expanding the exchange between our schools in the future. Our schools are connected not only through the German language, but also by the belief that personal encounters, shared learning and intercultural exchange can open up new perspectives for young people.
