German Embassy School Addis Abeba

Since 1955, the German Embassy School has provided an environment in which students develop into empathetic, self-reliant and critical thinkers who approach challenges with an open mind and commitment. DBSAA creates a welcoming and safe place where all students can develop their gifts and talents. The teachers at DBSAA pay attention not only to academic performance, but also to the personalities of the students. As a school of encounter with 320 students from kindergarten to IB, the DBSAA teaches the language, culture and history of Germany and at the same time conveys an understanding of the history and culture of Ethiopia.

The DBSSA and DISA are partners in several respects. Firstly, both schools are part of an examination association and secondly, there is a lively exchange at a pedagogical and organizational level, despite a distance of 4,130 kilometers.
