Fairy Tales Come to Life – Exploring the World of the Brothers Grimm

This project introduces the children to the magical world of German fairy tales. Over six weeks, they discover three classic stories by the Brothers Grimm and explore them in a variety of creative and playful ways.

Alongside reading and retelling the stories, the children build forests, towers and castles, create characters and puppets, draw scenes from the fairy tales and act out short parts of the stories. In doing so, they learn about typical features of fairy tales, develop their imagination and gain insights into German culture and storytelling traditions.

At the end of the project, all their work comes together in a special presentation for the German Language Day. The children proudly show how they have brought the fairy tales to life through creativity, imagination and teamwork.
