Game on! Support association engagement makes new foosball table possible

Written on 12 January 2026

A new highlight has been added to everyday school life at the German International School Accra: thanks to the strong commitment of our school support association, a professional-level foosball table is now available for our students.

This acquisition was made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Dr. Michael Keweloh, who recently visited the school as an alumnus together with his family. Dr. Dr. Keweloh attended our school himself in the late 1970s and remains closely connected to the school community. His contribution was received and purposefully allocated by the support association to create an offer that benefits all children.

To ensure that the new foosball table can be enjoyed responsibly and for a long time, Robert Ludtke introduced the students to the rules of play and proper use in small groups. The focus was on fair play, consideration for others, and respectful behaviour.

The new table is a great example of what can be achieved through the cooperation of dedicated alumni, an active support association, and a vibrant school community: shared enjoyment, active break times, and a strong sense of togetherness.
